ENERGY AND EVANSVILLE
Indiana has a sharp understanding of the future energy economy, with a strong commitment to renewable energy technologies. The state is home to world-class energy infrastructure companies, and has seen incredible investments in smart manufacturing, solar developments, electric vehicles, and wind power. More than a quarter of the state’s gross output is from the manufacturing sector, which employs over 16% of the state’s workforce.
Since the signing of the CHIPS and Science Act and the IRA in August 2022, Indiana has attracted more than $15 billion in investments for electric vehicle and battery manufacturing, creating an estimated 6,000 new jobs.
Evansville has the right mix of infrastructure, incentives, expertise, and proximity to big cities to provide manufacturing companies and their employees a high quality of life.
The manufacturing of clean energy components and systems in Evansville is beneficial for your business and our communities. It creates jobs we have the skilled workforce for, spurs follow-on innovation across the state, and invites collaboration from our existing industry leaders.
